Once you’ve selected your home plan, you’ll want to determine your changes and put them on paper.
Please have the following information ready when you request modification:
- Square footage desired
- Plan number to be modified
- Specific list of changes
- Simple revised floor plan sketch
- State in which you are building
- Foundation type desired (slab, standard basement, etc.)
- Telephone number where you can be contacted during the day

The following documents are included with all of our house plans except the Study Set plan type. All house plans are drawn to 1/4" = 1'-0" scale, unless otherwise noted.

- Door and window sizes
- Complete and accurate dimensions
- Room labels and interior room sizes
- Electrical layouts
- Code-related notes
- Building section markers
3. Foundation or Basement Plan
- Door and window sizes
- Complete and accurate dimensions
- All foundation wall and footing sizes
- Code-related notes
- Mechanical equipment location
- Electrical layouts (except as noted on individual plans)
4. Roof Framing Plan
- All roof beam and header locations
- Truss/rafter configuration
- Code-related notes
- All necessary notes pertaining to the structural system
5. House building sections
- Post and beam locations
- Floor joist type and spacing
- Floor-to-floor heights
- Non-typical plate heights indicated
- Footing and foundation size and reinforcement
- Wall assembly
- Roof assembly
6. Floor Framing plan(s)
- Size and spacing of floor joists
- Beam and header locations
- Bearing wall locations
7. Miscellaneous notes and details
- Stairway details/stair section
- General notes covering code requirements for residential construction
- Door and window schedules
